Tohono O’odham Nation got the better of the U.S. government — a first, perhaps, for native people — and Arizona’s Congressional delegation can’t handle it.

And don’t want to let it stand.

And, since they’re part of the U.S. government, they don’t have to play by the rules.

The Arizona Republic’s Peter Corbett reports that members of Arizona’s congressional delegation have reintroduced a bill to prevent the tribe from building a $400 million casino in the West Valley. Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake, along with Reps. Trent Franks and Paul Gosar, are pushing what they call the Keep the Promise Act.
