Peoria, university enter talks on site off Bell Road, Loop 101

The city and representatives of Huntington University, a small, Christian liberal-arts college based in northeastern Indiana, will begin talks aimed at establishing a branch campus of the school in a commercial neighborhood south of Bell Road near 87th Avenue.

The site is located in a partially completed section of the Arrowhead Innovation Campus, 8765 W. Kelton Lane.

The discussions, authorized Tuesday night by the City Council, are the latest step in efforts by the university, founded by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, to locate in Peoria.
