SRP considering compensation to APS customers in SRP territory

Salt River Project paid more than $2 million to certain Arizona Public Service Co. customers to compensate for the higher prices they faced in 2013, the public utility reported.

SRP board members will meet Tuesday to discuss the utility’s 2014 compensation program for people who own property in the SRP territory but buy their power from APS.

Certain APS customers eligible for payments should receive notifications in the mail later this year if the program is approved.
