Mayor: Sell this hotel

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton says that it’s time to put the “for sale” sign up outside of a downtown hotel.

The city-owned Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel has lost at least $28 million since it opened in 2008.

Despite heavy criticism from some city council members about the hotel’s costing the city millions, Stanton said that it has brought benefits.
