TNT broadcaster Ernie Johnson won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Host on Tuesday night, but he didn’t hold onto the industry’s highest honor for very long.
Saying “this belongs with Stuart Scott,” the veteran sportscaster presented the trophy to the daughters of the longtime ESPN anchor, who died earlier this year at the age of 49 after a battle with cancer.
“It all started with Stuart,” Johnson said, reported The Sporting News.
Then, he called Taelor and Sydni Scott to the stage.
