Struggling Glendale caps its budget; public safety concerns

The Glendale City Council on Tuesday set its 2015-16 budget spending limit at $632 million, despite council worries that the police and fire departments will remain understaffed.

City staff will work this summer to find budget savings that could be shifted to public safety needs as early this fall, said Tom Duensing, interim assistant city manger.
