Glendale attorney brought up Arizona Coyotes counsel conflict concern in March

Glendale City Attorney Michael Bailey voiced concerns about a potential conflict of interest involving Arizona Coyotes General Counsel Craig Tindall in March.

Roughly two month later, the Glendale City Council voted to cancel its 15-year, $225 million arena deal with the hockey team citing conflicts of interest involving Tindall as cause for the termination.

Tindall served as Glendale city attorney before taking a counsel post with the Coyotes in August 2013. The Glendale council approved the Coyotes deal in July 2013. Tindall had resigned his city post in April of that year but was still providing counsel to the city when the deal was approved. He received severance from Glendale through October 2013.
