Sheriff says there’s evidence of foul play in Maricopa couple’s disappearance

It’s been more than one week since family members reported a couple missing from the Arizona town of Maricopa. Despite exhaustive search efforts by police and loved ones, there is still no sign of Mike and Tina Careccia.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that they’ve obtained evidence that suggests foul play in the couple’s disappearance.

“Our priority is to locate this missing couple, yet we have evidence that suggests foul play. This is not just a search, but it is also criminal investigation into the couple’s disappearance. We shall continue our search and investigation simultaneously. We ask anyone who has any information to come forward and speak with my detectives. We have no further details at this time, we are looking to provide the family and our community with answers, yet we are restricted due to the nature of this investigation,” PCSO spokesman Mark Clark said.
