Something is afoot in the little town of Litchfield Park, which is likely to impact the fortunes of the entire West Valley.
After decades of relatively peaceful slumber, the Wigwam’s owners have created forward momentum that could lead to a main street-type development with regional impact.
With a population of just over 10,000, Litchfield Park barely shows up on most West Valley maps. However, its central West Valley location and the fact that it hosts the only regional resort west of Interstate 17 boosts its importance.
Last year, at the urging of the Wigwam’s owners, Litchfield Park approved General Plan amendments that are likely to alter the complexion of this regionally-significant community.
