The Steele Foundation has awarded a 45-acre ranch in Cornville to University of Arizona, which will use the property for its proposed veterinary school, among other programs.
The Steele Foundation selected UA out of several local colleges and universities for the DK Ranch, which is valued at $2.6 million. The property is in Cornville, which is located north of Phoenix in Yavapai County.
Marianne Cracchiolo Mago, president of The Steele Foundation, said UA was chosen because of its existing partnerships within the Verde Valley and a desire for the property to remain agriculturally focused.
