Queen Creek recognized for the way it buys things

San Tan Valley Today

The Town of Queen Creek recently received the 2012 Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) award in the Small Agency category for its commitment and dedication to the profession and for the skills and expertise it brings to the public procurement industry. The award was created to formally recognize an agency’s commitment to the value of certification in the public sector.

“We are proud of the professional, excellent staff we have in our Finance Department,” said Town Manager John Kross. “This award signifies a strong indicator of success in managing Queen Creek’s financial resources.”

“This award was created to formally recognize an agency’s commitment to the value of certification in the public sector.” Said Norma Hall, chairman of the UPPCC Governing Board. “Your organization is a fine example of what is becoming a strong indicator of success within state and local governments.”

Kim Clark serves as the Town’s Senior Financial Services Analyst and Chief Procurement Officer.
