The Phoenix metro is still 101,000 jobs short of where it stood in October 2007, the best employment month in the area’s history.
Eight years ago, nearly 2 million people were in the Valley workforce, and nearly 400,000 worked in trades, transportation and utilities, Today, that workforce has dropped by 32,000 to 369,000 in the sector, according to the Arizona Department of Administration.
