A group home that began taking severely mentally ill clients in the last couple of years has raised the concern of community members, especially since some of those inhabiting the home have been registered sex offenders.
The home, at 8428 Royal Blackheath Drive, helps the severely mentally ill, or SMI, integrate back into society in a healthy and productive manner.
The problem is a lack of supervision though, according to many area citizens.
Several community members report incidents of the group home residents trespassing, harassing, luring and other nuisances.
