Arizona’s construction worker unemployment misery

Arizona has one of the worst unemployment rates in the U.S. for construction workers and the industry is still down 117,000 construction workers from before the recession.

The unemployment rate for construction workers is down dramatically from the recession in Arizona but still has one of the highest in the country, according to new data out today.

Arizona has an 8.3 percent construction unemployment rate, according to the Associated Builders and Contractors.

That ranks 46th among U.S. states.
