Rob Kobierowski said building PhoenixMart is a “fast-tracking” process, though he added that doesn’t quite mean there’s anything fast about it.

The vice president of construction for AZ Sourcing, PhoenixMart’s parent company, explained “fast-tracking” as when developers design and construct a building simultaneously, which is what PhoenixMart has been doing since it began pouring concrete footings at the 585-acre site near Florence Boulevard and Overfield Road in July.

Kobierowski and his associates have been working closely with the city since then to secure a structural building permit, which will allow construction to begin going vertical.
