The Arizona Capitol turned into a beehive of activity on Tuesday, as Republican and Democratic legislators were briefed about the details of a proposed plan to settle a five-year lawsuit over education funding.
But it remains unclear whether there is enough support in both chambers to pass the deal, which will provide schools roughly $3.5 billion more over 10 years.
It’s also unclear when Gov. Doug Ducey will call a special session, although the prevailing sentiment is that it will occur this week, possibly as soon as Wednesday morning.
