I-11 corridor in Pinal closer to receiving important designation

The planned Interstate 11 could be declared part of the National Highway System if Congress passes the latest highway bill.

A provision in the bill, which was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives last week, attempts to designate the Interstate 11 project as a “high priority” corridor.

The northern section of the proposed interstate route, extending from Las Vegas down to Wickenburg, has already been congressionally designated with that distinction.
