Central Arizona College Governing Board member Rita Nader announced that she would resign from the board effective Dec. 3.
In a short statement addressed to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors dated Thursday, she cited a serious health condition and said she wants to save election costs for Pinal County taxpayers.
“It’s been a pleasure and an honor to serve on the board,” Nader said in her statement.
In September, members of the Citizens for Fair Taxation group submitted enough signatures to force a recall election against Nader in District 4.
