Arizona could meet the requirements of the Clean Power Plan with large-scale solar and wind projects already under review in the state, according to a recent analysis from the Sonoran Institute, a Tucson-based sustainability group, and Arizona State University’s Energy Policy Innovation Council.

The aim is to reduce emissions of carbon, the heat-trapping gas primarily responsible for global warming.
