The Buckeye Town Council on Tuesday unanimously voted to adopt new boundaries for six voting districts that officials expect will be used in 2014 election.
The maps now go to the U.S. Department of Justice for approval, a process that is expected to take less than four months.
The effort to redraw Buckeye’s council districts began in April. A consultant held four public hearings to get input on the on draft maps.
