Are fantasy sports a form of gambling or game of skill? The answer could cost Arizona $100 million.
Prize, chance, consideration. Those are the three qualifiers for a game to be dubbed gambling in Arizona.
The question for the Arizona Legislature is whether fantasy sport leagues have all three.
If they do and SB1515 becomes law, the state could lose $100 million in shared revenues from Native American tribes that operate casinos and gaming operations.
The proposed bill from Sen. Adam Driggs (R-Phoenix) would legalize fantasy sport leagues.
