Bill to permit San Tan Valley incorporation advances in Senate

San Tan Valley is one step closer to being able to incorporate.

And possibly some other communities, too.

Without debate, the Senate gave preliminary approval Wednesday to legislation carving out a new exception to laws on how and when cities can form. HB 2384 needs a final roll-call before going to the House which has not considered the proposal.

The push comes from supporters of efforts to incorporate the community in Pinal County.
