Average fixed mortgage rates in the U.S. were flat in the latest week, but remained near lows reached last year, according to mortgage-finance company Freddie Mac.
“After another week of financial-market oscillations driven by rumors of potential limits on oil production,” the 10-year Treasury yield edged up 0.05%, and the 30-year mortgage rate remained unchanged, Freddie Mac Chief Economist Sean Becketti said in prepared remarks Thursday.
