Legal victory for women trying to block controversial golf course redevelopment in Ahwatukee

A Maricopa Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of two Phoenix women trying to block the redevelopment of a golf course in Ahwatukee.

Maricopa Superior Court Judge John Hannah is siding with Linda Swain and Eileen Breslin in their lawsuit over plans to build homes or apartments on the closed Ahwatukee Lakes golf course.

The two women live in a subdivision adjacent to the course that shuttered in 2013.
