GRAHAM, N.C. – An Arizona-based solar energy provider already planning to bring two solar farms to Alamance County intends to establish another facility in Graham, pending approval from the North Carolina Utilities Commission.
Sunlight Partners in Mesa, Ariz., wants to build a five-megawatt solar photovoltaic facility, Buster Solar.
The corporation has already been approved by the N.C. Utilities Commission to build Milo Solar in Burlington, and Minnie Solar in Graham, which will also be five megawatts each.
Sunlight Partners will have to work with Duke Energy to figure out where each system will tap onto the electrical grid, and if any improvements to the grid need to be made before both systems can go on line.
