The city will spend the next year studying what types of transportation services could be provided in the near future.

The Arizona Department of Transportation awarded the city a $160,000 grant to work with the Sun Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization to find out what transit services are needed in Casa Grande.

The SCMPO Executive Board authorized the project last week and officials are gearing up to begin gathering data and public input.
