Scottsdale council to interview 2 more city manager candidates Dec. 8

John Kross, town manager of Queen Creek, and James V. Thompson, former city manager of Casa Grande, are additional candidates who will be considered for Scottsdale city manager.

They will be interviewed by city council members and meet the city’s executive team Dec. 7 and 8, according to a press release.

The city council will host a special public meeting Dec. 8 during which each candidate will make a brief presentation and answer questions from the council.

Once interviews are complete, they will be among five final candidates the city council will consider for the job, the release stated. The council previously interviewed Konrad Hildebrandt, Gary M. Luebbers and Jeffery M. Nichols.

The council may extend a job offer to their top choice at the Dec. 8 meeting.
