[FAMILY LAW] Judge rules deadbeat dad may not procreate

In what might be the first ruling of its kind, a deadbeat father may not procreate, a Wisconsin judge ruled Monday.

Corey Curtis, 44, of Racine owes $50,000 in child support and $40,000 in interest and also was sentenced to three years of probation, after pleading no contest in October

Corey Curtis of Racine was sentenced on Monday after pleading no contest in to jumping bail and failing to pay child support. He has fathered nine children with six women.

Judge Tim Boyle of Racine County began the hearing by saying it’s too bad he didn’t have the authority to order sterilization, the Journal Times reported.
