New subdivision Trails at Tortosa getting ready to break ground

The third and final phase of the Tortosa subdivision is set to get underway soon once it receives official approval from the Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission and the city council.

Planners were at the December P&Z meeting discussing the development in preparation for approval later this winter, which city officials estimate could take place possibly as soon as next month.

The Trails at Tortosa, also known as Tortosa Northeast, would be a single-family residential property similar to the rest of the Tortosa neighborhood. The proposed development would be generally located at the northwest corner of Murphy Road and Honeycutt Road.
