Buckeye’s water resources director, David Nigh, has resigned after being placed on paid administrative leave on Dec. 8.
Nigh’s resignation is the latest development in a continued saga between Buckeye residents and city officials over high water bills.
Nigh’s resignation will be effective Feb. 25, according to the resignation agreement signed by interim City Manager Roger Klingler on Jan. 24. The agreement does not offer a reason for the resignation and city spokeswoman Annie DeChance would not provide one. “We don’t have to, it’s a personnel issue. We don’t divulge everything,” she said.
