Maricopa Mayor Christian Price said the city plans on regularly holding town halls on various topics in order to keep the public updates and to allow them to weigh in on the issues that concern them.
This started with the one that took place last Tuesday night. The meeting in the city council chambers focused on transportation and economic development, and was followed by a question-and-answer session with council members.
First, Public Works Director Bill Fay gave a presentation on the current state of the State Route 347 overpass, which had its time in the limelight last week during a public information meeting held by the Arizona Department of Transportation the week before.
