The Golf Club at Johnson Ranch is in an ongoing dispute over the water used on its course
A dispute over whether Johnson Utilities should be required to continue selling treated sewer effluent to The Golf Club at Johnson Ranch has moved to Maricopa County Superior Court, where the company has appealed the Arizona Corporation Commission’s refusal to dismiss the golf course’s complaint.
“This case is about a golf course demanding the cheapest way to water its grass,” Johnson Utilities said in its opening brief filed May 30 in Superior Court.
But The Golf Club responded Friday that Johnson Utilities’ arguments for dismissal are “meritless” and the court should affirm the ACC’s decision and award the golf course its attorneys’ fees and costs.
