Goodyear plans to build a $114M water treatment facility with an initial capacity of eight million gallons per day, and it’s looking for a design-build team to make that happen.
In an RFQ published this week, the City’s procurement office announced it is seeking statements of qualification for complete design-build-operate-maintain services, “including design, design review/value engineering, permitting and regulatory assistance, and construction services.”
The chosen firm will also to operate and maintain the facility and provide training to city personnel for one year, with an optional annual renewal for up to four years. The ultimate goal will be to transition operation to the city.
Design and construction services will include canal turnout, a raw water pump station and transmission main, the treatment facility and a distribution system connection. While the initial capacity will be 8MGD, it may eventually be expanded to 16MGD.
