Committee to work for city vote in San Tan Valley

A new political action committee, San Tan Valley Right to Vote, has formed with the goal of letting residents vote on whether to form a city.

The group hasn’t decided on an election date, Chairwoman Julie Phillips said.

“Not yet. There are still many considerations,” she told PinalCentral by email.

“We will have town halls and other meetings once we get underway. Right now the focus is to exercise our right to vote. It took us over three years to get to this point. Soon we will start gathering 10,000 signatures from voters so that they can say yes or no to incorporation,” Phillips said.
