AZ employment: Construction gains 1,600

Arizona’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell again in September to 4.7 percent, down from 5.0 percent in August, according to the latest report published by the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity.

The national rate dropped to 4.2 percent, down from to 4.4 in August.

The state had a net gain of 36,400 non-farm jobs over the month. Most of the gains came in Government, which added 26,100. Nine of the 11 sectors tracked reported gains.
