U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., has broadly joined the chorus of Democrats calling on Minnesota Senator Al Franken to resign.
Franken is expected to step down Thursday after facing allegations of unwanted advances from women including Los Angeles media personality Leeann Tweeden who posted a picture Franken had taken of her sleeping and his hands near her breasts as she slept on a USO flight in 2006.
A number of Democrats including Democratic National Commitee Chairman Tom Perez and U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Kamala Harris of California are calling for Franken’s resignation.
