Casa Grande Council gives homeowner a pass on addition

Although he lacked approval to build an addition, the city council gave a Casa Grande homeowner a pass by changing his zoning.

The saga of a residential addition constructed by homeowner Victor D’souza came one step closer to resolution Tuesday night as the Casa Grande City Council approved a zone change for D’souza’s property at Ninth and Walnut streets. The council voted to approve the change from residential to a commercial zone with the understanding that D’souza wouldn’t necessarily be using his home as a business.
