54 premium homes will use 30-50 percent less energy than typical homes

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Mar. 6, 2018) – Maracay Homes will celebrate the grand opening of Navarro Groves on Saturday, Mar. 10, with a public grand opening where visitors will get a first look at the highly anticipated community’s two new model homes.

The gated 54-home enclave, situated just steps away from South Mountain Regional Park, is gaining interest among homebuyers for its prime Phoenix location on a former citrus grove, and for its commitment to innovative and sustainable design.

The homes at Navarro Groves will be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a third-party rating system that verifies compliance across several areas addressing sustainability, with the goal of earning the LEED® Certified designation. Designed to use 30–50 percent less energy than typical homes, each home will meet the EPA’s Indoor airPLUS specifications, and will feature water-efficient fixtures, LED lighting, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, Energy Star® appliances, tankless water heaters and Wi-Fi enabled, programmable thermostats.

“It’s remarkable that Phoenix-area homebuyers still have an opportunity to live in a brand-new community that is so centrally located, yet retains such a rural charm. You just don’t hear about opportunities like this in major metropolitan areas,” said Maracay Homes President Andy Warren. “Life at Navarro Groves has no limits. You truly get the best of big-city life and rural charm. Whether you want to take a quick drive to downtown Phoenix or step outside and literally walk to the nation’s largest municipal park, the choice is yours. Plus, neighboring Tempe and its major employers are just minutes away, making for a convenient commute.”

The grand opening event will include a neighborhood gathering from 12–3 p.m., featuring a catered lunch and refreshments from The Farm at South Mountain, a farm-to-table restaurant that uses only locally sourced produce, meat and wine and is walking distance from Navarro Groves. Potential homebuyers are encouraged to attend the event, where they will have a chance to meet Maracay’s New Home Advisors, tour the new, beautifully-appointed model homes and learn more about the neighborhood and the history of the land it rests on.

Nestled in the foothills of South Mountain, the region has retained the flavor of its rural roots while providing residents easy access to Phoenix’s major employment hubs, entertainment centers, shopping and sports venues, and much more. The area offers a perfect mix of natural landscape, urban agriculture and neighborly atmosphere where shopping and entertainment are close at hand and farm-to-table restaurants provide residents an escape from the rush of daily life. Active families and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the countless recreational opportunities that living tucked into South Mountain Park offers. At more than 16,000 acres and topping 2,300 feet at its highest point, the preserve is the largest municipally operated park in the U.S., boasting 51 miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking for all skill levels, as well as stunning panoramic views of the city’s skyline and surrounding desert landscape.

Six single-story floorplans, ranging in size from 2,400 to 3,300 square feet, will provide plenty of room to accommodate a wide variety of living situations and lifestyles. In addition to the sustainable features that are available, residents will also enjoy a variety of single-story floorplans that offer expansive great rooms, spacious kitchens, three-car tandem garages, generation suites and FlexDesign® options tailored to meet each family’s individual needs.

All homes are Energy Star® certified and registered with the certification goal of LEED Certified® standards from the USBGC. The homes also include Maracay Homes’ Living Smart® program for high performance and energy efficiency.
