Former Babeu deputy fired from Texas city’s police chief’s job

A former chief deputy for the Pinal County sheriff’s Office has been terminated from his job in Texas.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram,Steve Henry was fired Friday from his job as the Midland police chief. The newspaper reported that the city spokeswoman said Henry was fired for violating the city’s harassment policies.

Henry was on the job just a few months when he was placed on leave March 20. Per his contract, he will be paid six months’ salary, which was $145,000 annually.
