John Kennedy, former interim president of the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, is facing one count of criminal trespass in the first degree and one count of harassment in Pinal County Superior Court, according to court documents.
Attempts to contact Kennedy for comment were unsuccessful.
Richard Wintory, chief deputy district attorney for the Pinal County Attorney’s Office, said the felony charge is a class 6 felony and the criminal trespassing charge is a class 1 misdemeanor.
A class 6 felony is the least severe category of felony offenses and for a first-time offender can carry a sentence of four months to one and a half years in jail, according to the Arizona 2012-2013 Criminal Code sentencing provisions.
