Transportation continues to encompass most conversations in Maricopa, and the same was true with Wednesday’s open house and Transportation Advisory Committee meeting.
The open house and meeting was a way for the public and committee members to gain insight on progress that has been made with two major transportation projects.
“We just want to let the community know where we’re at with these projects and what the next steps are,” said David Maestas, transportation/transit planner in the city’s Development Services department.
The first project highlighted findings from phase three of the Area Transportation Plan. This is an ongoing plan that produces comprehensive ideas to improve travel within the city and the region. Phase three specifically looked at access points.
