The Town of Camp Verde Primary Election is March 12, with early ballots expected to go out starting at the end of next week. The four available council seats are filled by four candidates, but two men – incumbent Bob Burnside and former council member Charlie German – are contesting the mayor’s seat. Here are the first of a series of questions asked of the candidates.
Question: Why are you running for mayor?
Burnside: To extend the opportunity of being a member of the Town of Camp Verde Government Team supporting the citizens & their visions while maintaining a level playing field for all.
German: My love of community; because of the confidence many residents expressed as they were encouraging me to run for the office; I also have a strong background in administration/planning and setting policy; and I believe I can work well with all Council members, the Town Manager and his staff for the common good of Camp Verde. I love to look to the future, plan, and work with others with a common purpose.
