EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the third in a series of articles profiling candidates for Casa Grande City Council.
A passion for serving his community is what drives Matt Herman to seek another term on the City Council.
Herman, now in his ninth year on the council, said he continues to want to help better the community he’s known his whole life and to help create a sustainable way of life for the youths who he hopes will give back to the city as they get older.
“I have served as past president of the Boys and Girls Clubs board of directors and have been the council representative for the Casa Grande Youth Commission, helping me understand the youth of our city and their needs,” Herman explained. “With my service in the Rotary Club of Casa Grande, I have helped to organize events to raise part of the over one million dollars that we have given out to local students.”
