The Diamondbacks offense brought the Arizona heat with it to Wrigley Field on Monday.

As the Valley experienced an 115-degree afternoon, the Diamondbacks began Monday’s series opener against the Chicago Cubs with the same scalding intensity en route to a 7-1 victory in front of 40,859 fans in attendance.

BOX SCORE:  Diamondbacks 7, Cubs 1
