Historic Castle Hot Springs resort will open with modern amenities

Though built in the 19th century, Castle Hot Springs will be a 21st-century resort when it re-opens in early November, from its organic farm to yoga classes.

After a lengthy multimillion-dollar renovation, the luxury resort will host guests for the first time in 42 years, offering an all-inclusive experience nestled in the foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains 50 miles north of Phoenix.

Much of the resort looks as it did 100 years ago, from the palm trees to the bright yellow Kennedy House (formerly the administration building) sprouting from the center. The hot springs flow just as they did when the resort opened in 1896, though the water is slightly cooler (110 degrees now, 120 then).
