Flagstaff City Council has started the search for a new city manager, after the previous city manager resigned suddenly earlier this year.
Since Josh Copley resigned the position on February 7, the city has been relying on Barbara Goodrich, who council appointed as interim city manager from deputy city manager.
The city council held its first executive meeting July 24 to begin the review process for candidates who have applied for the position, and city councilmember Jim McCarthy said they hope to have a group of finalists within the next two months, although there is not an exact timetable at the moment.
