EPCOR representatives met with state lawmakers and a small group of Johnson Utilities customers who have worked to get state agencies to take action on Johnson Utilities, promising transparency and assuring residents that the company appointed as the interim manager of the utility is capable of bringing service up to acceptable levels.
“Why are we here? We want to help,” said Sean Bradford, vice president of corporate services at EPCOR.
He touted EPCOR’s records of minimal sewage spills, about one per year, and lack of violations with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
Sewage continues to run down the streets of San Tan Valley. As recently as July 29, 15,000 gallons of raw sewage overflowed into a cul-de-sac near Village Lane and Morning Sun Circle.
