Short and sweet: Oh, the shame of boycotting the name of a dying public servant.
President Trump Monday signed the John S. McCain Defense Authorization Act, which honors — or was supposed to honor — Arizona’s senior senator, who is struggling against brain cancer.
In signing the bill and trumpeting it before military troops that McCain has fought for his entire career, Trump and VP Pence never uttered the M-word.
Everything thing has limits, even in politics. The president and the vice president stepped way over the limit line, kicking decency, empathy and sympathy aside.
That is just how filthy our politics have become.
Time for a shower.
