The three Gilbert Town Council incumbents and newcomer Aimee Rigler are leading in early returns on Tuesday’s election.

So far, the results show Vice Mayor Brigette Peterson, Jordan Ray and Eddie Cook, in addition to Rigler, leading in the seven-way race.

Rigler said she felt good about the early results, but was cautious.

“I don’t like to count my chickens before they hatch, so I’m just kind of wait and see,” she said.

The other contenders for the four council seats are Jason Cvancara, Barbara Guy and James Candland.
