Is Glendale working on another sale of city-owned land?

It appears Glendale might be preparing to sell more city-owned land.

The city is considering what could be built on a city-owned land parcel near 91st and Orangewood avenues that in recent years has served as an auxiliary parking lot for Arizona Cardinals football games.

A City Council member said she expects a developer to build apartments on the high-profile corner near the city’s sports and entertainment district.

Sue Breding, a Glendale spokeswoman, said the city couldn’t comment on whether it’s negotiating a deal on the land, or whether the city has publicly sought proposals from potential buyers, as many cities do to add transparency to city land sales.
